Well here it is....the moment you've all been waiting for! The winners to the Christmas Tree Contest! Thank you everyone who sent in your photos! This was not an easy decision. Partly because there were lots of really nice trees and partly because photos just don't seem to do justice to how beautiful Christmas Trees really are!

Best Bachelor tree goes to Phats. He was one of the only true bachelors that entered and i think his tree is great.








However, I just have to do a runner up in this catagory because Sideshow's Charlie Brown tree is so awesome!











Most beautiful tree goes to Goofy Stacy. Her tree was so pretty I just wanted to curl up under it!











Best child effort goes to Pam. Her son decorated this tree and did a fantastic job!









Tackiest tree goes to Vince! This tree by far took the Christmas cake as far as the tackiest tree I've ever seen!







There were definately some honerable mentions in this contest! First of all, I dared Big Mama to get a picture of her sister in law's new tatoo looking over her shoulder with the tree in the background and did she ever come through!




Big Mama, "TOOT TOOT" to you! Your Fat Pig will be on its way as soon as I get your address!











Nutty had the Simpson's Characters on them , and that was really cool!











Mike H had an Oscar Mayer Weiner on his tree, and that made me laugh out loud! "TOOT TOOT!!" to you too Mike H! (Sorry Mike, Try as I might, I can't get your pictures to post either!! I tried and tried!)

49 Words had a beautifully full round tree, but I think he should get some smarties because he also sent in a picture of this awesome village he has set up!

Whenever I feel sorry for myself because I am freezing, I guess I need to get a grip. We have it pretty good in BC. Pretty mild weather most of the time. I swear I will die of frost bite if we ever get posted back East where all Rob's relative's live. BRRRRR!Ok, so we're back. We got back late last night. We had a wonderful Christmas until the flu came to visit. Crofton is having a bit better day today, but he's still pretty sick. I read all your comments and laughed at lots of them! But there are too many to comment back on so, you will all just have to know that I did read and enjoy them. Yes, Mel, I agree, he has a GREAT ass....and that's not even a very good picture of it! Sideshow, I loved your ice shot molds and think the ice swizzle stick idea is fantastic! Jamwall, I'm sure if Richard had computer access and knew about your blog he would want to hold your hand too! And don't worry Duck, I'm back!

Say goodbye to my moldy pumpkins. I LOVED Fiona's suggestion (Fiona said... Put a Santa Claus hat on the pumpkin. You won't have to do anything else with it until Valentines day. ) so much, I had Tanya do this... but they were molding and I was too afraid of the possibilities of what I may come home to. So I had Rob throw them into our ravine. Crofton thought the whole thing was pretty cool.














Speaking of saying goodbye, it's that time of year. Some of us go away for the holidays, and, well, some of us don't. I'm part of the some that go away. Unlike T.Leach who will be taking his kids on a dream vacation, I am just heading down to Vancouver to spend time with family. You all know what's coming don't you? That's right. I don't know how much blogging I will be able to do. Partly because my Mum uses her computer a lot for work and partly because the computer is in the same room that I put Crofton's play pen in for sleeping (and I normally do my blogging while he's sleeping). But I will check in as much as I can. I even have a few posts saved as draft so you won't miss me too much!

While checking out Phat's blog this morning, I remembered I was tagged yesterday from Frank the Tank. So here goes....5 random things about me.

1~Every year I plan on sending out Christmas cards and never do. Next year is the year. I can feel it!
2~I let my pierced ears grow over like 10 years ago and wish all the time that I hadn't but I'm too scared to poke anything through the over grown holes.
3~I have to try out any new flavor or brand of chips I see. Yesterday I came across T.G.I.Friday's Potato Skins chips (cheddar & bacon). I haven't tried them yet, I'm saving them for traveling on Friday. I also recently came across my new favorite from Kettle Chips. They are Honey Dijon and let me tell you...they are gooooooooood!
4~I can't sleep unless I have my sound therapy alarm clock on. I mix white noise and waterfalls together for a noise that successfully blocks out Rob's breathing (most nights). I bring it with me when I go to my parents too.
5~I love office supplies. I have since I was a little girl. My friend has a paper cutter at her office and I was so jealous when she called to tell me about it.

So the one question most of you got wrong was about where Rob got bitten by a spider. Yes indeedy. It was infact his balls. But, it was back in September and I was in like my first week or so of blogging, so lots of you weren't reading this yet. Don't feel bad. I thought you all did pretty good! When I told my Dad about it, he asked where Rob got bitten and in a moment of panic I said his Nutsack. If you know my Dad at all, this will truly crack you up. We never talk about balls or any kind of privates in my parents house at all. Never mind the slang terms for them! I was really embarrassed when that slipped out but pleasantly surprised when he laughed. HARD!

Looking back on the posts from September, i really feel like that was some of my better stuff. It all seems to have taken a nose dive since then. i seem to be running out of steam. I think I need more protein.

Thanks everyone, for the birthday wishes for Crofton! I can't believe he is 1 already. This year has flown by, that's for sure. I thought I'd post a couple pics of the party, although my pictures aren't that great because I was busy being an ungracious host. I'm not kidding. I was beyond tired and everyone was being so loud that I felt like screaming and running away. But I held it together for the most part and was thrilled with the turn out considering it was snowing pretty hard that day!

I was going to say, all good suggestions, but that's simply not true! Some of them I just don't get, but that may just be me. I tend to not get things when I'm pregnant because this baby is sucking the funny right out of me, I swear.

I am going to my parents for the weekend because we are celebrating Crofton's first birthday!!! on Sunday. I can't believe he is almost 1 already. His birthday is officailly on the 7th, but we are doing the party thing on the 4th. This year has just flown by! Last year at this time I was looking down at my huge belly thinking "HOW ON EARTH AM I EVER GOING TO GET THIS OUT!!!!!"

Learn to merge!!!!!!!!!!!!

You all know I procrastinate. It's true. And most of you know that we got snow the other day. It snowed again today a little more, but it still all adds up to barely any snow. Anyway. You probably remember me telling you a bit ago that Rob put the lights up on the house and I put our Christmas tree up right? But what I didn't tell you was that I have been too lazy to do anything with these. Now do i know how to procrastinate or what?





OK, I was on my cell phone (talking to Rob) in a store today and walked right through the stinkiest fart I 've smelled in ages! I couldn't help myself. I say to Rob entirely too loudly "EEEEEEEW I just walked through someones fart and it stinks soooo bad! I'm serious! My eyes are watering! That is disgusting!" Then I felt bad because after I had passed the culprit (who was now behind me) was when I bothered to look at this person only to realize it was like this 70 year old little lady. Who no doubt heard me, because that was originally my plan. Nice of me hey? But seriously, how gross is it to walk through some strangers fart?


In other topics...I love my car horn. I use it all the time. One of my biggest pet peeves in this world is people who don't know how to merge. It's not a hard thing to do, that's what bugs me so much. Trust me, if you are a bad merger and I'm anywhere near you, you will KNOW, without a doubt, I think you are a loser.
